Advanced gas handling technologies developed for the laser and semiconductor industries are now available to improve gas handling economics for the fenestration industry. Rare gases such as argon, krypton or xenon are used to fill IGUs (Insulated Glass Units) to improve thermal insulation. These high value insulation gases may be exhausted to air, with a significant portion typically being wasted. The API gas recovery products reclaim the valuable gases for re-use, thus lowering IGU production costs. A selection of gas recovery products is available to meet the needs of different gas types and different manufacturing tool configurations.
